Writing Assistance
- The Writing Center
offers students individual tutoring in every phase of the writing
process, from generating ideas to drafting and editing a paper to
documenting sources. The Writing Center is located on the second floor
of the Library building and can be reached by telephone at 651-450-3598.
- Smarthinking is online tutoring offered by the Tutoring department. You can submit your writing for any class to the Online Writing Lab within Smarthinking.
- NoodleTools
is a Web tool for making MLA, APA, or other types of bibliographies.
All you have to do is enter parts of a bibliography entry - NoodleTools will format the entry for you. Be sure to read the English Department's detailed instructions if you're using the tool for the first time.
- CitationMachine is an alternative Web tool for making MLA, APA, Turabian, and Chicago style citations.
